Dental Assistant - Entry Level
About The Position
This entry-level Dental Assistant role requires no prior dental experience or certification. The assistant receives paid, hands-on training through Aspen Dental’s partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), with a path toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). The role supports dental providers and the care team in delivering patient care at independently owned and operated Aspen Dental practices. Salary is $18–$22 per hour. Schedules vary by location, with part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling available. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
- Manage infection control, including preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Support patient charting for doctors.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with other dental team members to provide patient care.
