About The Position

The Scarsdale Dentist is seeking a highly motivated Dental Assistant to support its mission of providing quality dental and personal care in a relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming environment. The role calls for a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to multitask while helping deliver an excellent patient experience. The position is based at the office in Scarsdale, New York, and is available during the office’s Monday through Thursday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The listed pay is $21–$26 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• Ability to reliably commute to the office in Scarsdale, New York.
• Availability to work during current office hours, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nice To Haves

• Dental office experience.
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend software.
• X-ray and ICE certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the doctor.
• Set up trays according to the day’s charts.
• Review schedules and anticipate the doctor’s needs in advance.
• Assist chairside using four-handed dentistry.
• Enter treatment plans.
• Take X-rays as needed.
• Clean and disinfect the operatory after each patient.
• Take alginates and pour and trim models.
• Package and sterilize instruments.
• Keep the operatory fully stocked.
