About The Position
Altoona Smiles PC is seeking a Hygiene Dental Assistant to support its hygiene team and provide a positive patient experience in a fast-paced, patient-focused dental practice. The role includes assisting with dental X-rays, sterilizing and preparing instruments, preparing treatment rooms and materials, educating patients about oral health, and welcoming patients with a friendly and caring approach. Requirements
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA).
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude.
- A passion for patient care and working with people.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a busy office.
Responsibilities
- Assist the hygiene team.
- Take dental X-rays while focusing on patient comfort.
- Sterilize and prepare tools and instruments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
- Educate patients about oral health.
- Provide a warm, friendly presence and help ensure a positive patient experience.
