About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Dental Assistant for a part-time opportunity at Miami Correctional Facility located in Bunker Hill, Indiana. The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Indiana Department of Correction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or minimum six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required
- Certification in Dental Radiology required
- Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred
Responsibilities
- Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments
- Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory
- Operating radiographic equipment
- Administrative tasks as needed
