Dental Assistant (with RDA)

About The Position
Smile Brands is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support the Castle Dental team in Hixson, Tennessee. The role involves assisting the dentist with exams and procedures while helping ensure efficient care and patient comfort. The assistant also takes and develops dental X-rays, prepares and sterilizes instruments and treatment rooms, educates patients, and maintains accurate records. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. Benefits are determined by employment status and hours worked.
Requirements
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential.
- Dental Radiology (X-ray) certification.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain it before the start date.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control standards.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms following infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
