About The Position

Ideal Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to support patients and the dental team by helping deliver comprehensive, patient-centered dental care. The role assists with dental procedures, patient preparation and education, diagnostic imaging, documentation, infection control, and the smooth operation of the practice. Team members receive training and resources to develop their skills and contribute to positive patient experiences.

Requirements

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with a wide range of dental procedures and help keep patients comfortable.
• Greet guests and support them before the dentist’s examination.
• Take dental X-rays and support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories.
• Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions during visits.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
• Take impressions and bite registrations.
• Use the iTero scanner to conduct digital scans.
• Record patient medical histories, assist with charting, and document existing and recommended treatments.
• Collaborate with the practice team to provide quality guest care and strong patient experiences.
• Perform other duties as required to support the office.
• Travel may be required for newly acquired DeNovo offices.
