About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. The role is located in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, is full-time, and includes one Saturday per month. The stated pay range is $24.00–$27.00 per hour. The Dental Assistant helps patients feel comfortable, supports doctors and hygienists during procedures, and maintains a safe, organized clinical environment. Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
Active New Jersey x-ray license.
Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
Ability to collaborate with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Nice To Haves

Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Help patients feel comfortable and confident during dental visits by addressing individual concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment that promotes patient safety and comfort.
Escort patients to and from the front desk and help ensure a smooth patient experience.
Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
Monitor operatory supplies, maintain adequate inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
