About The Position
The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to support high-quality patient care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. The role is based in Rancocas, New Jersey, is full-time, and does not include weekend work. The listed pay range is $24.00–$28.00 per hour. The Dental Assistant helps patients feel comfortable during visits, prepares them for treatment, and assists doctors and hygienists during procedures. The role also involves preparing treatment rooms and instrument trays, maintaining a clean and sterile clinical environment, monitoring and restocking supplies, and following infection control and office safety protocols. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Active New Jersey x-ray license.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and other team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities
- Help patients feel comfortable and confident by addressing their concerns and reinforcing trust in their doctor or hygienist.
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors and hygienists during dental procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
- Escort patients to and from the front desk and help provide a smooth patient experience.
- Prepare and organize instrument trays and treatment rooms for scheduled procedures.
- Monitor operatory supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with ordering and restocking.
- Follow infection control, sterilization, and office safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
