About The Position

As a Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will support patients and the dental team in delivering exceptional, comprehensive care. You will assist with dental procedures, help patients feel comfortable, and contribute to smooth treatment visits and positive patient experiences. The role includes taking X-rays, preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining treatment rooms, educating patients about oral hygiene, taking impressions and bite registrations, using the digital iTero scanner, and assisting with charting and documentation. Ideal Dental provides training, tools, and resources to support professional growth in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Requirements

Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current CPR certification.
At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly.
Assist dentists with a wide range of dental procedures and help ensure patients are comfortable.
Prepare and educate guests before the dentist’s examination.
Take dental X-rays.
Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions throughout visits.
Record medical history for each guest.
Chart existing and recommended treatments and assist with patient documentation.
Take impressions and bite registrations.
Use the digital iTero scanner.
Educate patients about oral hygiene practices.
Collaborate with the practice team to provide quality guest care and support patient satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required to support the office.
