About The Position

42 North Dental is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant for Gentle Dental Milford. The Dental Assistant provides clinical support to facilitate the relationship between patients and dentists, improve the efficiency of quality dental care, and maintain communication among dentists, patients, and administrative staff to support a positive patient experience. The role involves assisting with dental procedures, preparing and sterilizing treatment rooms and instruments, educating patients, and maintaining supplies and compliance with infection-control requirements. The hourly rate is $24–$27 USD.

Requirements

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Possess certifications, licensure, or registration required by the state.
• Strong verbal skills.
• Embrace a positive team approach to patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Dental Assistant (C.D.A.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements.
• Maintain dental supply inventory.
• Perform other related job duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, recognizing that providers assisted may change based on practice needs.
