About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is hiring a civilian Dental Assistant to work at Naval Hospital Great Lakes in Waukegan, Illinois. The position involves providing care to Naval Cadets in a fast-paced military healthcare environment alongside a dedicated team. The role is a contract position scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Annual pay is $56,513, and a sign-on bonus is available.
Requirements
- Hold a certificate or associate degree in dental assisting from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association, with at least 12 months of experience within the last 36 months; or hold certification from a military dental technician or dental assistant school and have 12 months of experience within the preceding 36 months.
- For applicants trained in a dental office, have three years of experience and provide a letter from the current employer’s HR department listing job duties, including dental radiography.
- Be certified in radiography and have comprehensive training in radiation physics, biology, health, safety, and protection, as well as digital radiographic processing techniques.
- Have one year of full-time Dental Assistant experience after graduation, or three years of full-time experience if trained in a dental office.
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
