About The Position

The Dental Assistant provides clinical support to facilitate the relationship between patients and dentists, increase the efficiency of delivering quality dental care, and maintain communication between dentists, patients, and administrative staff to support a positive patient experience. The position is part-time at Gentle Dental Worcester. The hourly rate is $24–$27 USD.

Requirements

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Possess required certifications, licensure, or registration as required by the state.
• Strong verbal skills.
• Embrace a positive team approach to patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Dental Assistant (C.D.A.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment.
• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
• Expose radiographs and intra-oral pictures.
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
• Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments.
• Maintain strict compliance with infection-control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements.
• Maintain dental supply inventory.
• Perform other related job duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork, recognizing that the providers assisted may change based on practice needs.
