Dental Assistant
About The Position
ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to support its clinical team and provide care for patients receiving dental implant treatment. The role works directly with a Prosthodontist on advanced dental procedures and helps ensure patients have a comfortable, informed experience. Compensation is $29–$31 per hour, based on experience and certification. The Dental Assistant prepares and sterilizes instruments and equipment, provides chair-side assistance, takes and processes dental x-rays, and prepares materials for impressions and restorations. The role also supports post-operative and oral-hygiene education, prosthetic team operations, patient records, scheduling, inventory, lab coordination, and ordering supplies. The assistant collaborates with other clinical staff and may support work in oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics. Requirements
- Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
- At least 2 years of previous experience in a dental assisting role.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle dental instruments precisely.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
- Comfort with radiographic equipment and digital dental technology.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with dental implants or prosthodontics is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Prosthodontist to assist with advanced dental procedures, particularly dental implant treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment while following infection-control standards.
- Provide chair-side assistance, anticipate the dentist’s needs, and keep the treatment area clear and organized.
- Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
- Take dental x-rays, process radiographs, and assist with radiographic imaging.
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
- Educate patients about post-operative care and general oral hygiene.
- Support the prosthetic team with inventory management, lab coordination, and recordkeeping.
- Perform office tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments, receiving patients, maintaining records, and ordering supplies.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, including oral surgeons, hygienists, and Patient Education Consultants, to support patient care.
- Assist in specialized areas such as oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics.
