Dental Assistant
About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with Colorado dental standards. This is a part-time position working Fridays and Saturdays. CHOICE Healthcare Services provides pediatric dental care in the Southwest United States and aims to improve access to healthcare and deliver high-quality care to children in its communities. Requirements
- Colorado X-Ray certification.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor in procedures.
- Take x-rays.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up, break down, and prepare rooms for treatment and hygiene.
