About The Position
We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join a team committed to providing modern, conservative care and helping patients feel at home. The role supports dental procedures and patient care, as well as laboratory, administrative, and practice-maintenance tasks. The schedule is Wednesday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.; and alternating Saturdays, 8 a.m.–2 p.m. Compensation is $28–$32 per hour.
Requirements
- CPR/BLS certification.
- DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification is required for Washington State.
- Radiology certification.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
- Proficiency in dental patient management software such as Open Dental or Dentrix.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operatories for treatment.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take X-rays and intraoral photos.
- Treatment plan accurately and efficiently based on the doctor’s diagnosis.
- Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
- Perform dental charting and coding.
- Perform lab duties, including pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, calling labs, and making patient follow-up calls.
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment.
- Accurately document and maintain patient health information.
