Dental Assistant - Entry Level
About The Position
This entry-level Dental Assistant role requires no prior dental experience or certification. The employee receives paid, hands-on training through Aspen Dental’s partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), with a pathway toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). The role supports dentists and the dental team in delivering patient care and maintaining clinical and office operations. Scheduling may vary by independently owned and operated location; part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
- Manage infection control, including preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Support patient charting for doctors.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide patient care.
