About The Position
Chippewa Center for Dental Excellence, a Cherry Tree Dental office in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, is hiring a motivated Dental Assistant for its busy, growing practice. The Dental Assistant supports daily practice operations by providing patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and communicating positively with patients and team members. The role also supports administrative customer-service functions. The position is full-time and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of dental assisting experience.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, and clinical notes, or the ability to become proficient within 90 days.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to be a team player.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program.
- Previous customer-service or office experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Collect and record patient health histories and X-rays.
- Ensure patient comfort during dental procedures.
- Complete charting of treatment information in patients’ dental notes as directed by the doctor.
- Assist the doctor in managing medical and dental emergencies.
- Provide patients with postoperative and general oral-care instructions.
- Maintain infection-control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff.
- Assist the administrative team with customer-service functions.
