About The Position
The Dental Center of South Bend (Adult Care) is seeking an experienced, dependable, patient-focused Dental Assistant to support dentists and the clinical team. The role assists with dental procedures, helps patients feel comfortable throughout their visits, and contributes to a clean, organized treatment environment and positive patient experience. The position is located at 919 E. Jefferson Blvd., Suite 100, South Bend, IN 46617. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience.
- Current X-ray license.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
- Take dental X-rays as needed.
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Work closely with the dental team to support efficient office operations.
