About The Position

Oral & Facial Surgery of the Shoals is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant. In this key clinical role, you will support oral surgeons during procedures, help maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment, and ensure patients receive outstanding care in a professional and welcoming setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer-based tasks and dental software.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of oral surgery or dental assisting experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred, with a strong commitment to patient-first service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial procedures to ensure smooth and efficient treatment.
• Prepare treatment rooms according to established clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain infection control procedures, including sterilizing and organizing instruments and equipment.
• Capture diagnostic dental X-rays and scans as needed for patient evaluation.
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions and guidance on oral care.
• Enter patient information, chart notes, and clinical documentation accurately.
• Perform administrative and computer-based office tasks using dental software.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
