Part-Time Dental Assistant - Palisades Dental
About The Position
Palisades Dental is seeking a dedicated, friendly Dental Assistant for its American Fork, Utah practice. The locally owned, full-service practice serves American Fork, Highland, Lehi, and Pleasant Grove, and provides comprehensive dental care in a supportive, patient-first environment. The role supports dentists with general, cosmetic, pediatric, and emergency procedures; helps patients feel comfortable and understand their care instructions; and assists with clinical preparation and administrative tasks. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $18.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- DANB certification.
- At least three years of dental assisting experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Familiarity with standard dental office procedures, digital X-rays, and dental patient management software.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during general, cosmetic, pediatric, and emergency dental procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and set up equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Greet patients, help them feel comfortable, and communicate post-operative and oral hygiene instructions.
- Assist with patient records, charting, and scheduling follow-up appointments using patient management software.
- Maintain a clean, organized office and collaborate with the dental team.
