About The Position

As a Dental Assistant at Element Dental Partners, patient care is the top priority. The role supports patients and doctors during dental procedures and is directly responsible for creating an excellent chair-side experience and contributing to patient retention. The Dental Assistant provides excellent customer service, precise clinical support, and an amiable chair-side manner in a dynamic, state-of-the-art practice environment. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current radiography certification.
Dental Assistant certification as required by the state, or ability to become certified.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training.
Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills.
Professionalism and integrity, including appropriate image and verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, including conflict-resolution skills.
Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment.
Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs as required.
Ability to travel as needed for training and to perform job functions.
Ability to use required safety procedures and personal protective equipment to minimize risks from radiographs and blood-borne pathogens.

Nice To Haves

Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia.
Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and excellent chair-side manner, making the patient the top priority.
Be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times.
Follow direction from the doctor and/or hygienists, assist with dental procedures, and anticipate their needs.
Take, develop, and mount accurate, high-quality radiographs.
Review patient charts before the doctor arrives; record patient data and health history during exams and treatment; and transcribe the doctor’s notes.
Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and the operatory according to organizational procedures and guidelines before patient appointments.
Perform procedures efficiently and accurately to help maintain the schedule and patient flow.
Educate patients and address their questions and concerns.
Work as part of a team to deliver an extraordinary patient experience.
Partner with doctors, hygienists, Operations Leaders, and support staff to maintain excellent patient service and organizational integrity.
Assist front office staff with scheduling follow-up visits and tracking incoming and outgoing lab cases to ensure quality and timely products.
When assigned by the Operations Leader, monitor dental supply levels and order supplies using the approved formulary.
Promote and market services and retail products offered by Element Dental Partners-supported practices.
Complete assigned checklists and participate in daily huddles to support smooth daily operations.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
Follow organizational safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and federal blood-borne pathogen regulations.
Complete all Learning Management System requirements.
