About The Position
A reputable healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support clinical operations and assist dentists during patient examinations and procedures. This role is essential in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining patient comfort, and upholding high standards of infection control.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience assisting with oral surgery
- Certifications (Preferred/As Required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Red Cross
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and equipment
- Seat and prepare patients, adjusting chairs and equipment as needed
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including oral surgery and extractions
- Operate suction equipment to maintain a clear working area
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Assist with dental X-rays, if required
- Mix dental materials such as amalgam and fillings as directed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support overall clinic operations and patient care activities
