About The Position

The Dental Assistant provides chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists and helps deliver an exceptional patient experience throughout appointments. The role includes patient education, taking and processing X-rays as prescribed by the Dentist, entering treatment plans and maintaining patient files at the Dentist’s direction, and sterilizing equipment and operatories. Dental Assistants work collaboratively with the practice team and educate patients about the importance of oral health. Requirements

Completion of a dental assisting program or enrollment in the employer’s internal training program.
Radiology certification.
Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and dental software such as Dentrix, Eagle Soft, or Dental Vision.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to partnering with all team members to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Nice To Haves

Dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists through charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
Deliver an exceptional patient experience at all phases of the appointment.
Take and process X-rays as prescribed by the Dentist.
Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files at the direction of the Dentist.
Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories.
Educate patients on the importance of their oral health.
Work collaboratively with the team across all areas of the practice.
