About The Position
Chesaning Family Dental is an established private family practice seeking a dependable, energetic Dental Assistant for a full-time role. The assistant works closely with the Doctor and team to support patient care and create a comfortable, informed patient experience. The practice describes itself as friendly and supportive, with a team-oriented environment and opportunities to learn and grow. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, with no Fridays currently; Friday work could be added in the future. Compensation is $18–$25 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
Requirements
- Be a certified or experienced Dental Assistant.
- Have current CPR certification.
- Be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Be comfortable working in a busy dental office.
- Be friendly and personable with patients.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude.
- Be available to work the Monday–Thursday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials.
- Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable throughout their visit.
- Assist the Doctor with procedures, including set-ups, suction, and passing instruments.
- Take and document intraoral photographs.
- Chart treatment and patient information thoroughly.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
- Fabricate temporary restorations.
- Clean and polish removable appliances.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clean treatment rooms.
- Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines.
- Answer patient questions and help patients feel informed and comfortable.
- Pitch in wherever needed and contribute positively to the team.
