About The Position

Gardner Health Services is recruiting Dental Assistants to assist dentists with patient examinations and treatment. Both registered and non-registered Dental Assistants are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and organized, with strong customer service skills. Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred but not required.

The recruitment includes three positions: a temporary, full-time, 40-hour-per-week position at the St. James Health Center in San Jose; a part-time, 24-hour-per-week position with partial benefits at the AlumRock Health Center in San Jose; and a part-time, 16-hour-per-week position without benefits at the Gardner/Packard Health Center in Atherton. The recruitment remains open until filled, and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Compensation and position level are determined by relevant experience and education. The hourly range is $22.10–$26.39 for Dental Assistants and $22.72–$28.78 for Registered Dental Assistants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dental X-ray certification.
• Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license for the registered position.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish ability.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
