About The Position
Gentle Dental is hiring a compassionate, motivated Dental Assistant for a new practice in Roseburg, Oregon, anticipated to open in January 2027. The assistant will help establish the practice and provide a supportive, patient-focused experience while working collaboratively with dental providers and teammates. Compensation is $22–$27 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
Requirements
- Certificate from a Dental Assisting Program.
- Current healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience.
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
- Dental X-ray certification.
- Bilingual Spanish skills.
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
- Take dental radiographs and perform expanded functions as permitted by certifications.
- Educate patients about oral health, treatment procedures, and post-operative care.
- Maintain infection control and sterilization standards.
- Work with providers and teammates to support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.
