About The Position

The Dental Assistant supports the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients. The role includes helping serve underserved children and supporting the practice’s dental, vision, and orthodontic services. The position is at-will, meaning either the employer or employee may end employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice. Pay range is $15.00–$20.00 per hour. Other duties supporting the business and its mission may also be assigned.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meet state requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
Current BLS CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW).
Previous experience working in a dental office.

Responsibilities

Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
Obtain requested dental radiographs, including periapicals, bitewings, and panoramic images.
Write accurate and consistent notes and ensure chart notes match services completed.
Build friendly relationships with patients and parents and educate them on good oral health.
Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations in accordance with OSHA standards.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the provision of high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children and support the business and its mission.
