About The Position
The Dental Assistant provides chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists and helps create a welcoming, patient-focused environment. The role supports patients throughout their appointments, provides oral-health education, and helps ensure the best care possible. Duties also include taking and processing X-rays, maintaining patient treatment plans and files, and sterilizing equipment and operatories.
Requirements
- Completion of a dental assisting program.
- Certification as required by the State Dental Board.
- Radiology certification required to comply with the State Dental Board.
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and dental software.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to partnering with all team members to create a great environment.
Nice To Haves
- Dental assisting experience preferred.
- Experience with Dentrix preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists through charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
- Deliver a superior patient experience at all phases of the appointment.
- Take and process X-rays.
- Enter patient treatment plans and maintain patient files.
- Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories.
- Educate patients on the importance of oral health and how to maintain it.
