Requirements

At least 1 year of hands-on experience as a dental assistant.
Valid Dental Radiography (X-ray) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency with impression-taking, model pouring, operatory turnover, and assisting with restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges.
Excellent attention to detail, efficient time management, adaptability during a busy schedule, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Current CPR/BLS certification.
Experience with dental practice management software; Open Dental experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance during general and restorative procedures, including CR/SR fillings, crown and bridge preparations, and oral surgery follow-ups.
Expose and process diagnostic dental radiographs in accordance with safety standards.
Take dental impressions and pour and trim stone models.
Set up, break down, clean, and restock treatment operatories between visits.
Sterilize and prepare instruments, trays, and clinical equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Review medical histories, record clinical notes, and provide patients with clear, empathetic post-operative oral care instructions.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
