Dental Assistant
About The Position
Smiles by Design is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to support two dentists and help deliver quality care in a welcoming, team-oriented practice. The practice is open to candidates with dental assisting experience and those newer to the field who are eager to learn. The role includes exposure to a broad range of dental procedures and opportunities to develop dental assisting knowledge and confidence. The workweek is four and a half days: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch, and Friday, 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. with no lunch break. Pay is $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience.

Nice To Haves
- Dental assisting experience is preferred; approximately one year is ideal.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient visits.
- Assist dentists during restorative procedures, including fillings and same-day CEREC crowns.
- Support root canal treatments, extractions, dental implant procedures, and denture appointments.
- Assist with cosmetic dentistry and orthodontic procedures.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare rooms for the next patient.
- Help with front-office tasks when needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing patient payments.
- Help patients feel comfortable and contribute to an efficient, positive office experience.
