About The Position

Robert C. Gittelman, DDS is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for its general and family dental practice in Marietta, Georgia. The practice describes itself as having a private-practice feel and seeks an experienced assistant who values collaborative work and patient care. The schedule is Monday and Wednesday from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and one Friday per month from 7:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with 60-minute lunch breaks.

Requirements

• Dental Assistant training or school certification.
• At least 3 years of clinical dental assisting experience.
• Experience with packing cord, digital scanners, and temporary crowns or bridges is required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Experience with digital software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Expanded Functions experience is preferred.
• Clear aligner or orthodontic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentists chairside.
• Welcome patients.
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups and help ensure their comfort.
• Select and set up instrumentation, equipment, and other dental materials as needed.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Perform lab tasks as instructed.
• Provide post-operative care instructions.
• Keep operatories clean and stocked.
