About The Position
CHOICE Healthcare Services is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for a busy, friendly dental office. The assistant will work with pediatric dentists, orthodontists, and anesthesiologists in state-of-the-art dental practices. CHOICE Healthcare Services says its mission is to provide everyone access to the healthcare they need and that it is the largest provider of pediatric dental care in the Southwest United States.
Requirements
- X-ray certification.
- BLS certification.
- 8-hour Infection Control certification.
- 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor with procedures.
- Take X-rays.
- Take IOs.
- Assist with prophylaxis teeth cleaning.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up and break down rooms and prepare them for treatment or hygiene.
- Chart the patient's treatment and treatment plan with the doctor.
