About The Position

The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join its growing practice. The role supports the delivery of high-quality dental care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment by preparing patients and treatment areas, assisting doctors, maintaining supplies, and helping patients feel comfortable. The position is full-time and located in East Meadow, New York, with a salary range of $23.00–$26.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Prior Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending to their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors in providing efficient, quality dental treatment.
Escort patients to and from the front desk.
Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
Maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing supplies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
