About The Position

This position is located at Anson Correctional Institution in Anson County. Anson CI houses approximately 1,675 of close/medium custody female offenders. The Dental Assistant will render technical assistance to dentists in the care of dental patients. Position provides primary clinical support for offender care by performing dental assisting duties in a variety of clinical settings. This is skilled work in rendering technical assistance to dentists in the care of dental patients. This position provides primary clinical support for offender care by performing dental assisting duties in a variety of clinical settings, i.e., emergency care, general dentistry, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and radiology.

Requirements

Completion of a dental assistant program from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of on-the-job training as a dental assistant and required x-ray training when needed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
