About The Position

O'Connor Dental Centre is seeking a Dental Assistant to join their team. The centre has been serving the East York community for over 20 years, offering comprehensive preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. They are committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, and creating positive experiences for both patients and team members. This role is a replacement job opening.

Requirements

Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
