Dental Assistant
About The Position
Dental One Associates Eagles Landing in Stockbridge, Georgia, is seeking an experienced, patient-focused Registered Dental Assistant to join its growing periodontal team. The assistant will work alongside the Periodontist, supporting specialty dental procedures and providing patient care. The role includes reviewing treatment plans with patients, explaining recommended treatment, and helping patients feel confident about their care. This is a part-time position scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with the possibility of additional workdays as the practice grows. The position offers an opportunity to develop specialty dental experience in an expanding practice.
Requirements
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential.
- Current X-ray certification.
- At least 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort discussing treatment plans with patients.
- Patient-focused, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Nice To Haves
- Periodontal or specialty dental experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Periodontist with periodontal procedures and patient care.
- Review treatment plans with patients and help them understand recommended treatment.
- Clearly communicate treatment recommendations and answer patient questions.
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain instruments and equipment.
- Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records.
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Help create a positive, comfortable experience for every patient.
