Requirements

One year of experience in a dental office or clinic; or Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assisting certificate program; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Successfully completed the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Exam as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to the Dentist and visiting Oral Surgeon using retraction, suction, irrigation, and drying
Prepare tools, materials, and equipment and sterilize instruments
Expose, process, mount, label, and evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality
Take diagnostic and prosthodontic impressions
Complete patient charting, schedule appointments, and maintain call lists
Explain preventative and post procedural care instructions to patients
