Dental Assistant - Entry Level
About The Position
This is an entry-level Dental Assistant role. No prior dental experience or certification is required. The assistant receives paid, hands-on training through a partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), including training toward Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification and radiology and safety certification. The role supports dentists and the dental team in delivering patient care and maintaining treatment areas and equipment. Schedule availability varies by independently owned and operated location; part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling are available.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and safety certification within the timeframe required by the state of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
- Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Support patient charting for doctors.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
