About The Position

Ideal Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to support patients and the dental team in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. The role involves assisting with dental procedures, preparing patients and treatment rooms, taking X-rays and digital iTero scans, documenting patient information and treatments, and maintaining sterilization and infection-control standards. The assistant also helps ensure smooth patient flow, educates patients about oral hygiene, and collaborates with the practice team to provide a positive patient experience. Training, tools, and resources are provided to support professional growth. New-acquired DeNovo offices may require travel.

Requirements

Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current CPR certification.
At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists with a wide range of procedures and help patients feel comfortable.
Greet guests and prepare and educate them before the doctor’s examination.
Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories.
Take dental X-rays.
Use the iTero scanner and conduct digital scans.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment while meeting infection-control standards.
Manage patient flow, handoffs, and transitions during visits.
Record patient medical histories and assist with charting and documentation.
Chart existing and recommended treatments.
Take impressions and bite registrations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
Work collaboratively with the practice team to provide quality guest care and support patient satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required to support the office.
