About The Position

Ideal Dental is a clinician-founded and clinician-led dental group focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered dental care. The Dental Assistant supports patients and the dental team by assisting with procedures, helping patients feel comfortable, and supporting efficient practice operations. The role includes using dental technology, maintaining infection-control standards, educating patients, and assisting with charting and treatment planning. Ideal Dental offers training and resources for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Requirements

Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
Current CPR certification.
At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

Assist with a wide range of dental procedures and support dentists during procedures.
Take dental X-rays.
Prepare and break down operatories and treatment rooms.
Facilitate patient flow, handoffs, and transitions during visits.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and prepare them for the dentist's examination.
Take impressions and bite registrations.
Conduct digital iTero scans and use the iTero scanner.
Assist with patient charting and documentation, including recording medical histories and existing and recommended treatments.
Greet guests and support a positive patient experience.
Collaborate with the practice team to provide quality care and support patient satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required to support the office.
Travel may be required for DeNovo Offices (newly acquired offices).
