Dental Assistant
About The Position
Summit is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant Trainee to support patient care in a respectful, supportive dental practice. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing and delivering instruments, positioning instruments for the dentist, suctioning, passing instruments, and completing clinical notes before patients are dismissed. The practice describes a positive, team-oriented culture, opportunities for growth, modern technology and techniques, and flexible scheduling. Benefits become available after 60 days of employment. Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing a background check, including a drug screen.
Requirements
- CPR/X-ray certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Successfully pass a background check, including a drug screen, as a condition of an employment offer.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the treatment room for patients.
- Sterilize and deliver instruments to the treatment area.
- Position instruments for the dentist's access, suction, and pass instruments.
- Complete clinical notes before dismissing patients.
