About The Position

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care. Under the general supervision of the Chief Dental Officer and Dental Office Manager, the Dental Assistant Supervisor & Infection Control Coordinator provides direct supervision to all Dental Assistants and Dental Outreach Staff including development of schedules for the assistants. Under the direct supervision of the Provider, assists and performs a wide variety of patient oral health care services, including: assist the Dentist during dental examinations and procedures; maintain sterilization and infection control protocols; and performs dental radiology and records treatment information in patient records.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of Dental Assistant program at an accredited institution.
  • A Massachusetts Dental Assistant license is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a dental setting is required.
  • Community health or dental background required.
  • Experience with Epic Wisdom or Electronic Medical Record required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications required.
  • Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by any professional boards, licensing agencies, or credentialing organizations as applicable.
  • Must submit CORI and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred.
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.

Responsibilities
