About The Position

Pipestone County Medical Center and Family Clinic is currently seeking to find qualified individuals to join our growing team. We are committed to providing high quality services to our southwest Minnesota community. This position is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the infection control program in compliance with federal, state and organizational guidelines. It also provides for health protection, screening and counseling to employees of PCMC, within nursing scope, and supports pre-employment and annual employee health activities. The role establishes and maintains policies, programs and protocols in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines for infection control and employee health. The Infection Control Manager & Safety Coordinator will perform duties consistent with the coordination and implementation of all areas of safety. This includes responsibility for compliance management of regulations and standards applicable to healthcare facility operations, including MNOSHA and Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services. The position also assists with the maintenance of quality management related activities which includes risk management, quality assurance, safety, and other quality related areas.

Requirements

  • 3 years of nursing experience with preference to prior experience in infection control and/or employee health.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
  • BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire.
  • Must meet educational requirements per the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) standards for Infection Control.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
