About The Position

Gentle Dental is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Dental Assistant, OS (Limited Part-Time) to join their team. This role involves assisting during patient treatments and procedures, preparing treatment rooms, taking diagnostic records, providing patient education, maintaining records, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and collaborating with the team to ensure efficient office operations. The position is for a limited part-time schedule, working 4 days a month, at the Gentle Dental Vista location.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting Program
Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification
Strong communication and patient care skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
8-Hour Infection Control Certificate

Nice To Haves

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification
X-Ray Certification
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable

Responsibilities

Assist during patient treatment and procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for patient care
Take diagnostic records, including impressions, photographs, and radiographs as permitted by state regulations
Provide exceptional patient care and education throughout treatment
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Support a positive patient experience by creating a welcoming and professional environment
Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient office operations
