About The Position
Dentistry of the Carolinas is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant II to join our busy, patient-focused SouthPark office. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, skilled assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of recent, hands-on dental assisting experience. Candidates with less than two years of dental assisting experience will not be considered.
Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, hands-on dental assisting experience
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stay organized and perform well in a fast-paced clinical environment
Nice To Haves
- Current Dental Assisting, CPR, and X-ray certifications preferred
- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental software preferred
- Familiarity with digital radiography
Responsibilities
- Assist with crowns and bridgework, extractions, restorative procedures, impressions, and fabrication of temporary restorations
- Provide efficient four-handed dentistry while anticipating the doctor's needs
- Create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, manage inventory, and support efficient daily operations
- Perform quality lab work and maintain dental equipment
