About The Position

The Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support and help patients receive the care they need. The role involves preparing patients for treatment and assisting dentists with restorative dentistry. Requirements

• Dental assisting certification or prior on-the-job training.
• State-appropriate radiography/X-ray certification.
• CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.

Nice To Haves

• 1–5 years of experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side clinical support to doctors and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup and cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the doctor’s direction, and ensure forms and signatures are completed in dental software.
• Review the daily schedule and prepare appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepare patients and materials; sterilize and disinfect instruments; set up instrument trays; maintain asepsis; and assist dentists during procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
• Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including compliance with HIPAA guidelines and required CPR, X-ray, and other certifications and registrations.
