Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist
About The Position
A premier, patient-focused family, cosmetic, and implant dental practice in Chandler, AZ is seeking a dynamic, multi-talented Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join their tight-knit team. This is a unique, high-impact hybrid role with responsibilities split approximately 50% Dental Assisting and 50% Reception. Requirements
- 3–5+ years of clinical dental assisting experience AND 1–2+ years of dental front office/reception experience.
- Arizona Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification (Required).
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (Denticon experience preferred), appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and front desk workflow.
- Deep knowledge of dental terminology, procedure codes, and Arizona clinical compliance standards.
- Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in both clinical and front office environments with an empathetic, patient-first demeanor.
- Able to work the required schedule: Mon/Wed/Thu (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and Tue (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Nice To Haves
- Arizona Dental Assistant Certification & Coronal Polish Certification (Preferred).
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during exams, restorative care, cosmetic treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare, sanitize, and break down treatment rooms; process instruments following strict infection-control standards.
- Take and process clear diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.
- Escort patients to operatories, assist with clinical charting, and ensure patients feel informed and relaxed.
- Warmly greet patients, manage check-in/checkout, answer phone calls, and assist with scheduling.
- Confirm appointments, fill schedule gaps, and keep daily appointment books running productively.
- Verify insurance benefits, update patient records, and collect co-pays at the time of service.
- Guide patients through care plan details, treatment scheduling, and follow-up care instructions.
