About The Position

This application is designated for INTERNAL USE ONLY and should be completed solely upon instruction from the Department Chair, Dean, or Human Resources, specifically for adjunct instructors applying to teach Dental Assisting or Dental Hygiene programs.

Requirements

• Meet the faculty qualifications as defined by Wayne Community College to ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and Commission on Dental Accreditation.
• All certifications and/or post-secondary credentials must be from a regionally accredited institution and submitted to Human Resources within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain all certifications, professional licenses, CPR, Hepatitis B Vaccination, and PPD annually.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-starter, team player, and possess the ability to work well with others.
• Submit to a criminal background check and drug screening if selected for employment.
• Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview.
• All degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education.
• Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire.
• Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States.
• Wayne Community College accepts foreign transcript evaluations only from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is desired.

Responsibilities

• Teaching clinical, lab, and classroom content, if needed, in the subject area.
• Attend calibration meetings.
• Complete mandatory SafeColleges and KnowBe4 training as per requested by the IT Department, to include annually.
