About The Position

The Denials Specialist works claim denials for Baptist Health, including initiating reconsideration or appeal processes. The role documents and tracks denial status and works with payors to resolve issues in a timely manner. The specialist also works closely with Patient Financial Services (PFS) management to collect data on root causes and support denial-prevention procedures. The position is authorized for 80 hours bi-weekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in medical billing and insurance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively multitask.
• Excellent critical-thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate accurately, clearly, and professionally.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
