About The Position

Hy-Vee is seeking a customer-focused Demonstrator to make products engaging for shoppers by preparing and presenting samples, sharing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering suggestions. The role suits a personable, enthusiastic team member who enjoys helping customers discover products. It takes place in a fast-paced retail store environment, where the employee is on their feet throughout the shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and work through tasks with a few concrete variables.
Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count and record accurately.
Ability to engage confidently with customers, offer helpful advice, and make product recommendations in a friendly, professional manner.

Nice To Haves

Less than six months of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide prompt, friendly customer service and make customer interactions positive.
Prepare products for sampling and offer samples to customers.
Answer product-related questions, explain products, and suggest ways to prepare or use them.
Organize demonstration items and ensure adequate supplies are available.
Stock demonstration supplies and keep the work area clean and organized.
Follow proper sanitation procedures.
Answer telephone calls promptly and provide helpful service.
Work with co-workers to support customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as assigned.
Follow personal hygiene and dress standards, Hy-Vee policies, and store guidelines.
Report to work as scheduled and on time.
